Well, it is basically a PSP response to an idea to match Babelfish with a PSP, in turn allowing you to use your PSP to translate various languages to other various languages.

The PSP Talkman is a gadget that sounds cool, but you have to ask yourself “when would I actually use it?” I mean, it isn’t everyday that you find yourself needing to speak Chinese or Korean, but hey! Whatever works right!

Max, the bird who’ll guide you through your semantic adventures, uses a ScanSoft-built language interpreter and trainer to help you learn Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or English — or just help translate between you and someone else, if need be.

I suppose it could be used for travel. No?
