PlayStation 2 Price Drop
On Thursday Sony announced that they will drop the price of the PlayStation 2 to $129.99 USD in an effort to keep consumer demand high as it races to complete its next generation console.
Maybe I'm alone here...but who cares? I'll sell you a commodore 64 for $20 but that doesn't make it worth $20. Who wants to buy a system, for any price, that will be basically obsolete in a few months?
Latest reports still indicate that Sony plans to release the PlayStation 3 in November of this year. I'll just add my $129 to my PS3 fund and skip buying the soon-to-be obsolete PS2.
